PSG Open Science Support Fund (OSSF) – 2026 Trial Implementation
To promote inclusive participation in open-access publishing and support high-impact research worldwide, Panorama Scholarly Group (PSG) is launching a trial implementation of the Open Science Support Fund (OSSF) in 2026. This initiative provides full APC waivers and priority review and publication for selected submissions to PSG journals that charge article processing fees.
1. Allocation of Sponsored Slots
- Total sponsored slots in 2026: 48 articles
- Each APC-charging journal is allocated 5 guaranteed slots (5 × 8 journals = 40 slots)
- 8 additional flexible slots will support:
- Special issue submissions
- Authors from low-resource regions
- High-impact or editorially recommended articles
2. Benefits for Selected Articles
- Full APC waiver: No article processing charges will be applied
- Expedited review and publication:
- Initial decision within 14 working days
- Acceptance after one round of revision for strong submissions
- Prioritized scheduling for online publication - Unique funding code: Each funded article will receive a code such as PSG-OSSF-2026-JLPCS-012
3. Application & Evaluation Process
- Authors must submit a brief justification (max. 300 words) during manuscript submission
- Editors and the OSSF review committee will assess eligibility independently from peer review
- Successful applicants will be notified via email and assigned a funding code
4. Funding Disclosure Requirement
All funded articles must include a funding statement with the assigned code. Example:

5. Notes on Trial Implementation
The 2026 OSSF is a trial-stage initiative subject to future adjustment based on participation and outcome. Submissions are evaluated on a rolling basis. We encourage authors to apply early. For further details, please contact the editorial office.
